Een jaar geleden werd ik benaderd door Philip Mees uit Glendale, Californië (Amerika). Hij was onder de indruk van het boek Karmisch mengelwerk en wilde het vertalen in het Engels. Inmiddels ligt het bij SteinerBooks, een non-profit uitgeverij in de staat New York die al sinds 1928 bestaat. Via hen zal de Engelstalige uitgave naar verwachting in maart 2026 in de winkels liggen. Philip Mees was zo enthousiast dat hij meteen ook begon met de vertaling van mijn andere boeken, die in de loop van 2026 ook Via SteinerBooks zullen verschijnen. Ik ben zeer verheugd over dit initiatief en ben Philip erg dankbaar voor zijn vele en bijzonder nauwkeurige vertaalwerk. Ik laat hem zelf aan het woord in een e-mail aan John Scott Legg van SteinerBooks:

‘With this email I am sending you my translation of a remarkable Dutch anthroposophical book by an author who is currently making a name for himself in Holland. The book is written in an easy-to-read, and direct style which, I believe, should appeal to many younger readers today. We all know that young people do not read many books these days, and especially have trouble with the way older anthroposophists used to write. This is different. It will appeal to that younger generation, I believe, but without losing the depth of the subject. And the subject is what plays into all our lives: The intricacies of Karma. Gruben looks at the many ways in which karma plays into our lives, sometimes in the most surprising ways. He shows how with spiritual help we form our own karma, how it influences the course of life, and also how we can, by recognizing this, become able to form or create new karma for our own subsequent incarnations. He thus distinguishes moon karma from the past and sun karma for the future. I believe this is an important book for our time’.
